About this file

This is Addendum 001 for the Fry-Thomas Deaerator replacement project at Prairie View A&M University, issued by SSC Services for Education Facilities Services on December 19, 2025. The addendum modifies the original contract documents by adding the CSP Part 1 form (Proposal Form & Pricing Schedule) to the project specifications under Division 00 - Procurement Documents and providing clarifications to eight contractor inquiries regarding project requirements. Key clarifications address the scope of Building Automation System (BAS) monitoring, domestic hot and cold water piping termination details, pipe material specifications for treated water and vent systems (schedule 40 steel pipe), roof warranty information held by Green Shields, and welding standards compliance with ASME B31.1 testing requirements. The proposal form requires contractors to provide a base proposal amount for the complete construction of the deaerator project, identify a substantial completion date, acknowledge receipt of all addenda, and submit pricing for any alternates designated as adds or deducts.

The CSP Part 1 pricing schedule requires bidders to provide line-item pricing across multiple construction divisions, with the contractor bearing all costs for delivery, insurance, bonds, taxes, labor, materials, supervision, overhead, profit, and equipment. The proposal must remain valid for 90 calendar days following submittal, and selected contractors must execute the contract within 10 business days of award notification. Proposal amounts must be stated in both written words and figures, with written amounts governing in cases of discrepancy. All work enumerated in the pricing schedule, whether specifically named or implied, shall be performed by the respondent. The proposal instructions note that incomplete bids, those with blank line items where divisions are within the scope of work, or bids with additional modifications or qualifications will be subject to rejection.
