About this file
This is Addendum #1 to Request for Proposal 04-TARLTON-RFP-0014 issued by Tarleton State University for Talent and Event Booking Services at the EECU Center. The addendum modifies the contract term to five (5) years from the effective date and provides clarifications to 26 questions submitted by prospective bidders. Key service scope clarifications include that the contractor will conduct initial negotiations with agents and managers on behalf of the University, negotiate settlement sales and expenses, and provide marketing and performance analysis support using ticket sales data from the University's Paciolian ticketing system. The University confirmed it does not anticipate requiring performance or payment bonds, intends to fill a General Manager position, and will designate the Executive Director of the Event Center as the primary contract administrator. The University aims to maximize facility utilization while prioritizing university basketball games and tournaments, with an estimated announcement timeline of 9 months in advance of events.
The addendum confirms that ancillary revenue agreements for food and beverage, ticketing, and merchandise are already in place, and the venue currently maintains sponsorship assets including naming rights and in-venue signage and digital displays. The University serves students, faculty, staff, community members, and regional visitors, and seeks to position the EECU Center as both a campus venue and regional entertainment destination with Dallas included within the preferred routing radius. Primary key performance indicators are revenue, fan engagement, and brand awareness. Marketing will be handled internally by the Campus Operations Director of Marketing & Sales using local media, social media, digital billboards, on-campus and in-venue digital displays, and marketing email campaigns, all subject to Tarleton's branding standards. The estimated annual operating budget remains to be determined, and the venue currently sells beer and liquor.
