About this file
This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB 2026-B03) for Cemetery Maintenance issued by Hays County, Texas, seeking a contractor to provide maintenance services for 14 different cemeteries across Buda and San Marcos. The contract covers normal maintenance services for cemeteries ranging from 0.09 to 10 acres, with a total of 40 service weeks per year distributed across different months. Services will be provided upon request, with the specific cemeteries to be maintained determined monthly in coordination with the County Representative, and billing will only occur for actual work completed.
The bid form outlines pricing structures including a per-site service rate for each cemetery and an additional man-hourly rate for extra services. The pricing is firm for the entire contract term, with potential price increases allowed after the first year based on inflation and operating costs, subject to County approval. Hays County reserves the right to award the contract based on the lowest price per site or best overall value, and can accept bids in part or whole. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, equipment, tools, materials, chemicals, supplies, and supervision necessary to perform maintenance, with the county exempt from federal and state sales taxes.
