About this file

This is Addendum One to RFP 735-2025-4404 issued by Midwestern State University's Office of Purchasing/Contract Management for an SI TITAN 800 Handheld XRF Analyzer. The addendum, dated February 21, 2025, provides responses to six submitted questions regarding training options (both online and in-person pricing may be submitted), RFP presentation requirements, sample contract requirements, insurance documentation, Appendix C completion, and pricing terms. The document notes that the question submission deadline has passed and no additional questions will receive responses.

The addendum clarifies that vendors must include a valid certificate of liability insurance if providing services on campus, though this can be provided after bid submission if awarded. A key pricing concern was raised regarding Bruker's ability to honor pricing for 120 days due to potential April 1st annual price increases, which the university indicated could be problematic but would be assessed after receiving all vendor bids. The addendum must be acknowledged on the Addenda Checklist by all bidders. The document is signed by Joseph J. Mrugalski from Purchasing/Contract Management.

ADDENDUM ONE (1)

RE: RFP 735‐2025‐4404 SI TITAN 800 Handheld XRF Analyzer

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

Please see the following submitted questions with responses:

1. I have a question on this bid. There is a line item for training on page 17 of the attached doc. Not sure if you are wanting onsite training or online training. …Can you confirm with your user, which they will want? Please feel free to submit training pricing for both in‐person and online, if both are available.

2. … Asking if the presentation of the RFP is sufficient or do you want the sheet that shows price break down filled out both ways as well? The required components listed in section 6.1 can be submitted once. If you are submitting multiple quotes, I suggest filling out section 6.3 for each individual quote, to include reviewing & initialing the section below the quote and filling out and signing the respondent information at the bottom of each.

3. I also have a question about the attached sample contract. Is this something we need to fill out? The sample contract does not need to be filled out. It is simply provided as a sample, should a contract be required.

4. There is a space for us to put our insurance. Is this form needed too or does this come later if we are awarded? A valid certificate of liability insurance is required for all vendors providing services on campus. If it is not included with your response, it can be provided later, but it is required.

5. Last question is about Appendix C. Are there addenda to this RFP? No correct? Does this page need to be filled out? Appendix C should be completed once the date for the “Release of

Official Responses to Questions” has passed. At that point, all possible addenda should be posted.

6. Also, one item in the RFP. I am not sure Bruker can honor pricing for 120 days. They usually have annual price increases on April 1 of each year. I can make pricing good for a month after that, IF there is a price increase. None have been announced. Will that be a problem for a submission to you? That may be a problem, but something we won’t be able to address until

ALL bids are received from other vendors.

Please note: The date for submitting questions has passed. No additional questions will receive a response.

Please remember to acknowledge this addendum on the Addenda Checklist.

Regards, Joseph J. Mrugalski Purchasing/Contract Management
