About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to Invitation for Bid (IFB 24-069/CG) issued by Jefferson County Purchasing Department for a Term Contract for Inmate Shoes. The IFB solicits bids for inmate footwear including EVA "step-in" style shoes, clogs, and uni-foot sandals, with bids due by 11:00 AM CST on March 5, 2025. The addendum addresses vendor questions regarding the procurement and includes information about the current contract with Bob Barker Company, which only covers the "step-in" shoe item. The Jefferson County Correctional Facility is the sole delivery location, with limited recent order history showing no orders in 2022-2023 and 96 pairs of step-in shoes ordered in 2024.

The current pricing under the existing Bob Barker Company contract is $45.94 per pair for orange inmate shoes across all sizes (Small through 3-XL), with shoes packaged 12 pairs per case. The county is expanding the scope to include clog style and uni-foot sandal items for which there is no order history. The addendum clarifies that there is no standard order quantity, and bidders must bid on colors specified in the original IFB specifications. Tax exempt certificates will be provided to winning bidders after contract award and execution. All orders will be placed by and delivered to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
