About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 from The Texas A&M University System Office of Procurement & HUB Program for RFP01-CIO-25-229 regarding an AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE). The addendum, dated December 11, 2024, with responses due December 27, 2024, clarifies several aspects of the procurement including hardware specifications and requirements. The A&M System will not consider the new B200 DGX systems or DGX H200 clones from companies like Gigabyte and Supermicro, specifying that only NVIDIA products as listed in the BOM spreadsheet will be accepted. The System will consider alternate NVIDIA SuperPOD certified storage solutions but will not accept alternate network equipment solutions.
The addendum clarifies that respondents must propose and price all items listed on both tabs of the BOM spreadsheet, including NVIDIA hardware and software. Items highlighted in yellow on the spreadsheet are identified as non-NVIDIA products. Regarding terms and conditions, while respondents may submit their own terms with their proposal for review, Exhibit D will serve as the basis for the awarded respondent agreement, with final terms to be negotiated with the selected finalist. The addendum also updates Section 3.3's fourth bullet point to specify that the purchase must include all products identified on the BOM spreadsheet for the option chosen by the A&M System, including coordination of delivery and installation.

Respondents shall acknowledge receipt of addendum(s) on the Execution of Offer (Exhibit A).
Questions/Responses:
1. Will Texas A&M consider the new B200 DGX systems shipping now and alternate Nvidia SuperPOD certified storage like WekaIO or VAST to achieve better results?
Response: The A&M System is not considering the new B200 DGX for this RFP. However, A&M System will consider alternate NVIDIA SuperPOD certified storage solutions proposed.
2. Will they consider DGX H200 Clones from companies like Gigabyte and Supermicro?
Response: No, only NVIDIA products as specified on the BOM spreadsheet. All products must be new.
3. Is TAMU requesting for bidders on this RFP to include pricing for the NVIDIA equipment as listed in the two BOMs?
Response: Yes, Respondent shall propose and provide pricing for ALL items (both tabs) listed on the BOM spreadsheet. For additional clarification, the 4th bullet in Section 3.3 shall be replaced with the following:
• Purchase of all products identified on the BOM spreadsheet for the option chosen by the A&M System and including coordination of delivery and installation.
4. Will TAMU consider alternate solutions for the Network equipment in the BOM spreadsheets?
Response: No.
5. Are we to only propose the items listed in the Excel Workbook highlighted in yellow along with our Professional Services Implementation, or are we to include the NVIDIA Hardware and Software listed in both tabs of the Excel Pricing as part of our response or will you procure NVIDIA HW/SW directly from NVIDIA as stated in Sections 3.4 and 3.5?
Response: Respondent shall propose and price ALL items listed on both tabs of the BOM spreadsheet.
The intent of the highlighted items is only to identify those items that are not NVIDIA.
6. Regarding Section 5 A, paragraph 3. Are we correct in assuming that if the Respondent provides a copy of their Terms and Conditions, Exhibit D does not apply?
Response: Exhibit D is a draft of our agreement template, and our intention is to use that document as the basis for the awarded Respondent agreement. The purpose for requesting a Respondents terms and conditions with the proposal response is so that A&M System can review these terms which may be part of the evaluation of your proposal response. Final terms and conditions will be negotiated with the selected finalist.
