About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Statewide Procurement Division (SPD), a division of the Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) for the State of Texas, for Athletic Shoes. The Addendum changes the specifications for Line Items 1 and 2 from "Athletic Basketball Shoe, Unisex" to "Athletic Basketball Shoe, Unisex or Men's." The Addendum also provides responses to several questions, including confirming that men's shoes or unisex shoes are acceptable, that there is no guaranteed volume, and that only responses on brands of like nature and quality to the referenced brand example will be considered.
The contract is available to any Texas SmartBuy member, with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) facilities potentially purchasing up to 2,500 pairs per month. The contract does not have a specified number of times that shoes will be ordered. Polyurethane leather material is not acceptable, and only responses meeting the specifications will be considered.
