About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 304T-25-370M1.1 issued by the Statewide Procurement Division (SPD), a division of the Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA), for tin cans with ends for food processing and canning equipment maintenance. The addendum changes the bid opening date from October 3, 2024, to October 8, 2024, and provides answers to several questions related to the specifications, including the tin plate gauge, sample submission, production process, and service calls. The IFB is for a major customer, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), and covers multiple jurisdictions in the state of Texas, including Brazoria County and the city of San Antonio.
The addendum clarifies that responses must meet the specifications stated in the IFB, including the requirement for a food-safe enamel or lacquer coating on the interior of the cans per FDA regulations. The IFB does not include emergency service calls, and the production process details, such as cooking temperatures and times, are provided in the Q&A section.
