About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) for a Multimodal Biometric Identification System (MBIS). The RFI seeks information on solutions that can match at least fingerprints, palm prints, scars/marks/tattoos, iris, and face modalities. The system must be capable of ingesting and storing up to 75 million alternate biometric images. The addendum provides answers to 22 questions from potential respondents regarding system requirements, environment, compliance, storage, integration, end users, security, training, support, and implementation. TXDPS may use the collected data to determine functionality offerings and build requirements around the needed functions for this mission-critical system.
The RFI does not provide details on pricing, set asides, incumbents, funding amounts or sources. It states this is an RFI only, and if TXDPS pursues a solicitation in the future, all specifications will be identified in the statement of work.
