About this file

This document is a sample contract between the Texas Historical Commission (THC), a state agency, and a contractor for the production of historical markers for the Official Texas Historical Marker program in Texas. The contract outlines the purpose of the agreement, the scope of work, key personnel and subcontractor requirements, payment terms, contract duration, and other standard contractual provisions.

The related state and local contract opportunity is a request for proposals (RFP) issued by THC to establish one or more contracts with vendors for the production of historical markers. The RFP specifies that the contractor must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar marker production work. THC is seeking competitive sealed proposals, and the RFP provides details on the submission process, including the deadline for questions. The contract term is not specified, but the RFP indicates that THC may award one or more contracts as a result of this solicitation.
