About this file
This document is an addendum to a solicitation issued by the Texas Military Department (TMD) for the Hondo Readiness Center (RC) Roof Replacement project. The addendum clarifies that the general contractor, rather than the architect/engineer or owner, will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling all materials testing and inspections for the project. The total estimated cost of the project is $525,000. The Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation documents are available on the Electronic State Business Daily (ESBD) website, and general contractors must request the drawings/plans and specifications electronically. Vendors are required to attend one of two mandatory site visits on July 16, 2024, and competitive sealed proposals are due by 10:00 AM CT on August 13, 2024.
The addendum also provides details on the contractor's quality control responsibilities, including inspecting the work, providing quality products, coordinating with the architect/engineer and their third-party testing/inspection company, and maintaining inspection and testing records. The owner will also perform weekly inspections, and the contractor is responsible for taking corrective action and having re-inspections performed as needed.
