Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) RTR Tower Replacement Scope of Work

1) Provide ground mapping for existing cable on site.

2) Provide soil boring and design for one new tower 40’ tall 16’x24’ platform on site.

3) Install one new 40’ free-standing tower with a 16’x24’ platform, stairway with safety rail, cable ladder, obstruction light, lightning terminals and 14 antenna mounts.

4) Level and stone area surrounding tower.

5) Install grounding protection for new tower with down conductors to new counterpoise for tower. Attach new tower counterpoise systems to existing system.

6) Install 2 ice bridge overhead cable systems from the building to the new tower. These will accommodate 14 runs of LMR-900 each and 1 power conduit run.

7) Create new openings on front side of building to accommodate entry plates and boots.

8) Install a ground bars and 2 junction boxes on wall inside the existing RTR building. The ground bars will have polyphasers and grounding to existing counterpoise.

9) Install 2 new Stainless Steel 36”x36”x12” box on new tower with ground bar, polyphasers and grounding to existing counterpoise.

10) Provide and install 28 runs of new LMR -900 cable from new tower junction box to RTR building ground bar.

11) Provide and install LMR -400 from tower junction box to each antenna. (by FAA)

12) Provide and install LMR-400 from shelter to each radio with any additional cable tray as required

(by FAA)

13) Demolish 4 existing 50’ guyed tower to 2 foot below grade

14) Restore area to surrounding condition.
