About this file
This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by Escambia County's Parks and Recreation Department for the Equestrian Center's bagged shavings procurement for fiscal year 2025-2026. The county is seeking quotes for 7 semi-trailer loads of large flake shavings throughout the year, with quantities not guaranteed. The RFQ was released on September 30, 2025, with a question submission deadline of October 3, 2025, and a quote submission deadline of October 7, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Vendors must submit electronic quotes through OpenGov Procurement by creating a free account and uploading the required documentation, including a signed quote form, supporting specifications, Sunbiz registration proof, and a W-9.
Vendors must comply with Escambia County's general terms and conditions, which are available online, and provide a certificate of insurance that meets the county's standard requirements and lists Escambia County as an additional insured. The delivery specifications require a truck that can be unloaded via forklift and pallet jack, with a non-grooved floor and pallets in good condition. Interested vendors should contact Adam Reed, Deputy Director, at awreed@myescambia.com or (850) 475-5220 for any questions. Vendors outside Florida must register in Sunbiz before payment can be issued or the award finalized.
