Q&A 1 – Englebright Lake Ground Maintenance Services
1. How many times per year will the actual grass / weed cutting be needed?
2. Please provide the number of campsites / restrooms per campsite and the square footage of each site.
3. Will this contract include removal of Himalayan blackberry thickets at the Point Defiance Campground? Or are these areas to be excluded from weed cutting treatments?
4. What is the entire number of acres or square feet of each area to be mowed, or what is the entire acreage of the whole of all the areas.
Answers:
There are is NO guaranteed number of cuttings per year. The contractor will be paid per cutting in accordance with the PWS.
Number of campsites is 96 and restrooms is 23. Entire campground area is typically mowed, not just around individual campsites. Many of the recreation areas that are mowed are not campgrounds and do not have any campsites. Some of the areas are very weedy and others are not, so square footage will not help too much in determining to figure labor costs. In addition, Englebright has no record of square footage of the individual areas and it will take a while to map it out and figure the numbers. The best way to proceed is to use the descriptions in the PWS and from what he observed on the site trip if he attended.
