APPLICATION
The ENDODRY™ Storage and Drying System is designed to ensure the efficient drying of endoscopes, both externally and internally, while providing horizontal storage for up to eight endoscopes.
Drying is achieved through a continuous flow of filtered compressed air, ensuring validated storage of endoscopes for up to 31 days. EN 16442:2015 validation and a peer-reviewed study in the American Journal of Infection Control showed the drying of external surfaces of the endoscope in three hours, and internal channels in one hour. This maintains endoscopes in a patient-ready condition, reducing the risk of post-reprocessing microbial growth.1
The ENDODRY Storage and Drying System integrates with the MEDIVATORS™ ADVANTAGE PLUS™ Automated Endoscope Reprocessor and transport cassette to minimize handling throughout the reprocessing workflow, enhancing infection prevention practices and reprocessing efficiency.

FEATURES
Intuitive Touch Screen Interface: The ENDODRY Storage and Drying System features a 6″ color touch screen for quick access to essential information. Whether using the standard or pass-through version with dual touch screens, this intuitive interface displays drawer numbers, stored endoscope details, drying times and status indicators, making it user-friendly.
Enhanced Endoscope Drying: The ENDODRY Storage and Drying System uses filtered compressed air to efficiently dry endoscopes. It achieves external drying in three hours and inner channel drying in one hour.4 Each endoscope connects to the drying circuit through a hookup connection, ensuring thorough drying and reducing microbial risks.
Effective Filtration System: Endoscope drying occurs as air circulates through its channels and external surfaces. The ENDODRY Storage and Drying System is equipped with a powerful air filtration system that achieves a filtration result of over 99.995% for particles under 0.3 μm. For comparison, the EN 16442 standard describes filters with a 99.95% retention rate.
SMART Light Indicators: These LED status indicators provide at-a-glance information on endoscope storage status and potential issues. Green indicates the storage phase, blue signifies the drying phase and red alerts to alarms or the expiration of storage time. The LED colors match those displayed on the touch screen interface, providing an intuitive user experience.
Space-Saving Design: The ENDODRY Storage and Drying System, equipped with tempered glass doors, features a space-conscious design, tailored to fit the needs of any healthcare facility. Available in single-sided or pass-through versions (front and back door) for separation of wet and dry areas.
Endoscope Transport Cassettes: Specially designed endoscope transport cassettes not only safeguard stored

ENDODRY™— 11059789 Rev. A 3 endoscopes but also prevent free swinging of the distal tip, reducing the risk of damage, repairs and infection transmission. Using same cassettes for both the automated endoscope reprocessor and the ENDODRY Storage and Drying System minimizes contamination risks, streamlines workflow and decreases the likelihood of endoscope damage and related repairs. These transport cassettes provide an additional layer of protection, preventing recontamination and ensuring efficient endoscope handling.
Efficient Endoscope Connection: Each endoscope connects to the drying circuit through an ergonomic hookup connection. This user-friendly design simplifies the connection process for operators. Depending on the model, the endoscope cabinet shares the same connection system as MEDIVATORS™ ADVANTAGE PLUS™ Automated Endoscope Reprocessor, MEDIVATORS™ ADVANTAGE PLUS™ Pass-Thru Automated Endoscope Reprocessor and MEDIVATORS™ DSD EDGE™ Automated Endoscope Reprocessor. Using a common endoscope connection for the reprocessing phases streamlines operations and offers advantages such as improved efficiency, reduced handling, lower contamination risk and quick connections.
Climate Sensors: These sensors are used to maintain the storage environment for endoscopes within specified temperature and humidity ranges, while also ensuring controlled airflow to facilitate the drying process. They play a crucial role in creating a controlled and optimal storage environment for the endoscopes.
SAFETY FEATURES
Error Alerts: The system alerts users in case of errors or if endoscopes have exceeded their designated storage time.
Barcode Identification: To enhance traceability and reduce risk of errors, the system incorporates a barcode scanner that accurately identifies both the endoscope and the operator.
Locking Doors: The system's locking doors serve as an added layer of security, safeguarding the stored endoscopes and preventing unauthorized access or tampering.
CONTROL SYSTEM
The ENDODRY Storage and Drying System records essential information, including endoscope storage location, duration, drying time and process data. The control system offers traceability through:
• Barcode Scanner: Captures and stores data for users, endoscopes and drawers via barcode technology.
• Report Generation: All relevant process data can be printed using a network printer. An application on a desktop PC can send print requests to available printers (optional network printing). Optional label printer is available.
• Network Integration: ENDODRY Storage and Drying System interfaces with the hospital network through LAN cable (optional SMART Connect add-on).
• SMART Connect License: This option enhances communication between the endoscope reprocessor and the ENDODRY Storage and Drying System via a central server. By enabling SMART Connect between the MEDIVATORS ADVANTAGE PLUS Automated Endoscope Reprocessor, MEDIVATORS ADVANTAGE PLUS Pass-Thru Automated Endoscope Reprocessor and the ENDODRY Storage and Drying System, data transfer between the devices is streamlined for improved workflow efficiency. Additionally, this option offers the following advantages:
– Automatic endoscope/user data transfer from the automated endoscope reprocessor to the ENDODRY Storage and Drying System, ensuring up-to-date information.
– Real-time verification of proper endoscope reprocessing upon insertion.
