3.3.2.2 Styles. Style A vaults shall utilize vault system panels to form the top, bottom and sides of the vault. Style B vaults shall utilize vault system panels to form the top and sides of the vault and the facility floor as the vault bottom.

3.3.2.3 Doors. The vault system shall be designed for use with a General Services Administration approved vault door in accordance with Federal specification AA-D-600.

The door opening shall be of the standard dimensions for the single leaf or double leaf doors as defined in AA-D-600 and shall provide for a minimum engagement of the door frame of 6 inches.”

Each panel shall be permanently marked or stamped so that it can be traced back to the concrete pour.

Paragraph 4.4.4.1 Configuration requirements. Delete the first sentence and substitute the following:

“Unless otherwise specified, the test sample shall consist of an 8 foot by 8 foot vault, including one utility panel, and excluding the vault door. Add the following paragraph:

One sample shall be tested for compressive strength in accordance with the applicable sections of the American Concrete Institute standard ACI 318 – (Building Code Requirement for Reinforced Concrete) to determine the compressive strength of the concrete. The second sample shall be retained as a library sample. The concrete panel reinforcement method shall be detailed in the contractors bid sample offer (including type, amount, and spacing of reinforcement).
