Instructions

Instructions for completing Appendix E Page1 and Page 2 are contained on this sheet:
Instructions for completing Appendix E, Page 1:
1Enter the name of the Canal/Lateral/Ditch in the space provided
2Enter the starting elevation of the proposed pipeline in cell G5
3Enter the date the table is completed in cell K5
4Delivery ID (column B) - Assign an ID corresponding to the submitted map for each delivery point
5Landowner name (column C) - List the landonwer name of acreage served by the delivery
6Existing irrigated acreage (column D) - Enter the existing irrigated acreage for the delivery
7Irrigated 2 of last 5 years (column E) - Indicate whether the identified acreage has been irrigated 2 of the last 5 years (2006-2010)
8Existing efficiency improvements (column F) - Indicate whether the identified acreage has an existing efficiency improvements such as (Delete) (gated pipe), sprinklers, drip facilities, etc. If yes also include the number of acres served by the improvements.
9Elevation of delivery (column G) - Enter, in feet, the elevation of each delivery
10Static head (column H) - The spreadsheet contains a formula to calculate the static head in feet. The static head is computed as the difference between the starting elevation of the proposed pipeline and the elevation of the delivery
11Working pressure (column I) - The spreadsheet contains a formula to calculate the working pressure in lbs/in2 (psi). The working pressure is computed as the static head divided by 2.31 and multiplied by 65%. (Delete) Alternately, values for working pressure can be determined by a professional engineer.
12Will a pump be included? (column J) - Indicate whether a booster pump will be included. Pumps may be included to meet the required working pressure of 35 psi. Capital costs for pumps and required electrical connections must be shown in Appendix C: Detailed Cost Estimate
13Claimable acreage (column K) - Enter the number of acres claimed. To be eligible the acreage must meet the requirements described in FOA Section B.3.A.4
14Please note footnotes 1 through 5 located below the table on Page 1
15When additional rows are inserted in the table on Page 1 please copy the formulas in columns H and I to the inserted rows
Instructions for completing Appendix E, Page 2:
1Enter the name of the Canal/Lateral/Ditch in the space provided
2Delivery ID (column B) - Enter the Delivery ID from Appendix E Page 1, column B
3Landowner name (column C) - List the landonwer name of acreage served by the delivery
4Claimable acreage (column D) - Enter the number of acres claimed from Appendix E Page 1, column K
5Landowner signature (column E) - Obtain signature of the landowner when the landowner is willing to sign their intent to install a high efficiency irrigation system on the indicated acreage when sufficient volume and pressure are available

Claimable acreage total: - 0 - 0

Notes:
1To be claimed, the acreage must have been irrigated 2 of the last 5 years and not have any existing efficiency improvements beyond land leveling (e.g. sprinklers, drip facilities, etc.)
2Level Border, Graded Border, Guide Border, Buried Drip, Above-ground Drip, Micro-Spray, Bubble, other.
3Acceptable efficiencies 50% to 100% based on soil intake rate(family) and precision leveled slope to be obtained.
4Confirm that an adequate flow can be provided at non-erosive velocities. Yes/No, confirmed by simplified design calculation.
5For drip, micro-spray, bubbler, other, confirm that flow, pressure, quantity, and quality is sufficient to allow the irrigation system type to obtain its claimed application efficiency.
