About this file
This document is an Emergency Purchase Statement issued by the State of Illinois Chief Procurement Office. It details an emergency contract between the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) and SEPS, Inc. for engineering, furnishing, and installing new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, generators, and related equipment, as well as providing power installation, maintenance, emergency maintenance, and preventative maintenance services at statewide locations. The contract will be for an estimated term of approximately 90 days, from September 15, 2021 to December 13, 2021, with an estimated expenditure of $102,000. This emergency contract is being entered into due to the expiration of DoIT's existing competitively bid contract with SEPS, Inc. on September 14, 2021, with no remaining renewals.
The pricing and funding for this emergency contract will be based on the previously competitively bid contract, utilizing state appropriated funds. SEPS, Inc. is the incumbent vendor and is familiar with the DoIT/ICN sites across Illinois, having installed the majority of the equipment currently in use. SEPS, Inc. also has the necessary security clearances and certified staff to perform the highly skilled work required under this contract.
