About this file

This document is an Emergency Purchase Statement issued by the State of Illinois Chief Procurement Office for electrical services in the Southern region. The State of Illinois does not have an existing contract in place for these services, and is issuing this emergency contract to Wissehr Electric Inc. to provide general and emergency service for electrical systems, including distribution, wiring, fixtures, panels, breakers, and equipment for facilities located in counties south of Interstate 70. The estimated cost of this emergency contract is $96,480.00, with a term of July 1, 2021 through September 29, 2021, or until a statewide master contract is executed.

The justification for this emergency contract is that the previous contract with Wissehr Electric Inc. expired on June 30, 2021, and a 6-month extension was denied. Failure to execute this emergency contract would result in electrical service problems not being corrected in a timely manner, impacting critical facilities such as the Illinois Department of Public Health COVID-19 laboratory, the Illinois Department of Transportation District 9 Headquarters, and the Department of Children and Family Services offices. The State is utilizing state appropriated funds for this emergency procurement.
