About this file
The document is an Electronic Bid Submission Instructions for Vendors issued by Wayne County, Michigan, providing detailed guidance for vendors participating in an electronic bidding process. The instructions are specifically related to a demand contract for ball bearings and miscellaneous power transmission components for Wayne County. The document outlines a step-by-step process for submitting bids electronically through a system, including options to place a new bid or no bid, uploading required documents such as a Bid/Proposal Guarantee, signed Bid/Proposal Form, and Price Sheet, and navigating through the submission workflow.
The bid submission process allows for both lump sum and line item pricing, with vendors able to enter total bid prices or unit pricing, and optionally list manufacturers. Vendors must indicate whether their bid contains any exceptions, provide their full name and password for confirmation, and submit the bid electronically. After submission, vendors receive a confirmation page and can view their submissions through their account's Bid Management section. An important note specifies that while a scanned Bid Bond is accepted at the Bid Opening, the official document must be physically mailed within seven days of the Bid Due Date through a common carrier with tracking. For technical assistance, vendors can contact BidNet's Support Department at (800) 835-4603, option #2.
