Additional Vendor Questions and Responses
1. In the government’s reply to “service desk coverage” (Question #16 in Vendor questions and responses), it states, “The service desk coverage should cover business hours specified by the Vendor. The length of the service coverage hours will be considered as part of the best value determination.”
Question: In the revised government SOO, section 1.13.11, Hosting Management Objectives, government states, “Provide help desk coverage from 7:30-8:30 pm EST” Are we to have coverage as we specify in our proposal or does it need to be 7:30-8:30 as stated is required in the revised SOO? Since one is worded “service desk” and the other is “help desk”, does the government consider these to be different? Please clarify.
Answer: The help desk coverage should cover business hours as specified by the vendor. The length of the service coverage hours will be considered as part of the best value determination. The help desk and service desk are the same. The Statement of Objectives has been updated to the following: “Provide at least 8-1/2 hours of help/service desk support every weekday covering the time period 08:00- 16:30.”
2. Question: If we prepare multiple bids to be included in our business proposal (multiple meaning, different cost proposal options for the government to choose) do we need to submit those separately with a technical proposal or can we layout our cost proposal options in one business proposal?
Answer: Vendors should only propose one cost option.
