SPECIFICATIONS

INSTALL MEZZANINE PLATFORMS

FOR

NATIONAL OCEANIC ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION

AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS CENTER

Scope of Work:

Install mezzanine platform structure(s) in the warehouse as “turn-key” operation. The warehouse area is fully enclosed and climate controlled. All mezzanines must be made of steel with Resindek type decking, enclosed with railing with kickplates, powder coat painted and match in color, be 14 feet from floor to deck, have a design load of 125 pounds per square foot, have their own respective railed stair access (closed treads and risers), and meet OSHA standards for safety.

These mezzanines may be connected as one unit, or as individual stand-alone units. If constructed as stand-alone units, they must have at least one steel walk-way with rails connecting the three structures. Mezzanines may be new or refurbished.

NOTE: Refurbished mezzanines must in “like new” condition and meet all specifications and requirements as stated in this document.

Railings on the loading end must be capable of being fully opened to its entire width.

Mezzanine Specifications:

Install one (1) mezzanine measuring approximately 31 feet wide and 46 feet long.

Install one (1) mezzanine measuring approximately 42 feet wide and 40 feet long.

Install one (1) mezzanine measuring approximately 40 feet wide and 25 feet long.

14 Ft (Floor to Deck).

Steel Material.

Powdercoat Paint, Matching Color.

125 PSF Design Load.

Resindek Type Decking.

Enclosed Railing w/Kickplates.

Railed Stair Access (w/Closed Treaders/Risers).

Full Open Capability on Loading End.

Vendor Will:

Built as “one” unit – OR – Built as “stand-alone” units, to include railed steel walkways.

Obtain all permits, licenses, or code compliance.

Provide 1 Year Warranty on Parts and Labor.

Provide 3 Year Structure Warranty (Frame Skeleton).

Comply with all OSHA Standards for Safety.

Location of Work:

National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (Aircraft Operations Center) located on Lakeland

Linder regional Airport, 3450 Flightline Drive, Lakeland Florida, 33811.

Period of Performance:

All work to begin within 10 business days of contract award. Vendor will have 30 calendar days to complete all work.

Hours of Performance:

During Business Hours (7 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Monday through Friday (except Federal Holidays).

Applicable Standards:

Contractor will be a licensed or certified to install mezzanine structure.

Contractor will ensure all Federal, State and Local building codes are met.

Contractor will coordinate all work the AOC facility manager each day.

Contractor will ensure workplace remains clean and safe all times.

Contractor will removed all of their trash daily.

Contractor will provide all necessary tools, transportation, and supplies.

Contractor is responsible for any damages caused by contractor, and will replace anything broken or damaged (with like items).

All work is subject to inspection by the City of Lakeland code enforcement officials. Work not meeting applicable code(s) will be fixed before vendor is released from the contract.

Contractor’s On-site employees must present a valid Driver’s License or State I.D to the NOAA

Security Official. The Security Official will provide these employees a Facility badge that each employee must wear daily while on NOAA property. Vendor must turn-in all badges before payment will be issued.
