E16PS00099 Question/Answers
1. Question: Regarding the RFP E16PS00099, since the sensor is to be mounted on a boom system that is towed does this mean that the sensor is expected to accurately operate while the towing is taking place? That is while the sensor is being dragged or only when the system is stationary?
Answer: BSEE is interested in either a sensor that could accurately measure oil thickness in a stationary application, or a sensor that could measure thickness if mounted to a skimmer or even a boom. The Offeror should propose a project where he/she feels confident that accurate thickness measurement could be achieved, and describe the environment in which this measurement could be made.
