About this file

This document is a Change Order Notice from the Chief Procurement Office for General Services in the state of Illinois. The purpose of the change order is to provide the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) with limited access to additional weather information through an enhanced software version. This enhanced version will include all the information from the current system plus additional data resulting from technology advancements. The limited access will be provided for 10 trucks, 10 routes, and up to 20 users, allowing IDOT to evaluate the benefits of the enhanced service technology and verify that they can meet the additional data and communications requirements.

The change order is necessary because the technology advances were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the original contract was signed. The additional weather information and enhanced services will improve IDOT's current snow and ice activities. The change order is in accordance with requirements for posting renegotiated contracts and change orders that increase the cost by more than $10,000 or extend the time of completion by 30 days or more.
