QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. QUESTION: I have reviewed the GFM list in the specifications and this does not include all items listed on the drawings, for example drawing CHA-D-1202459-E002, note 3 calls out Nema 4X junction boxes that are listed on the note as GFM but are not included in the GFM list in the specifications. This is also the case for notes 4 and 5 on that same print.

Please clarify if I am to interpret all GFM items on the drawings as GFM items for this project?

FAA ANSWER: Please see Changes/Clarifications below.

2. QUESTION: On drawing CHA-D-1202459-E002, note 7, the GFM Heliax is listed as 1/2”.

Please clarify that this is supposed to be 7/8”.

3. QUESTION: Do you have a tentative schedule in regards to which towers will be shut down (for example tower 1, 2, 3 and then tower 4, 5) and what time will be required by the FAA to make the connections and be ready to release the next set of towers?

FAA ANSWER: Towers will not be shutdown prior to installation of new conduits and cables. Once contractor installation is complete, the FAA will take up to 2 weeks to cut-over towers to new cables prior to removal of existing cables. See C003 note 7.
