About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Department of Agriculture for the supply of bagged ice to the 2019 DuQuoin State Fair from August 23 through September 2, 2019. The Department is seeking a vendor who specializes in producing and distributing a large amount of ice on a regular basis. The vendor will be provided a designated rental location on the fairgrounds to supply ice services and must stock merchandisers with ice daily. The vendor will pay a flat fee of $1,000 to the DuQuoin State Fair, with a $500 non-refundable deposit due upon execution and the remaining $500 due by September 2, 2019. The vendor must supply approximately 2,000 bags of 22-pound sealed ice and be responsible for staffing the rental location from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout the fair.
The RFQ specifies the pricing format, with one price for ice sold to State Fair operations and a separate price for ice sold to concessionaires. The award will go to the lowest cost vendor that meets all specifications. The vendor must agree that quoted prices will be valid for 90 days and include all shipping and handling charges, with no price increases accepted. The agreement is contingent upon the availability of sufficient funds, and the Department reserves the right to reject any or all offers.
