About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the 42d Security Forces Squadron's requirement to lease two full-size patrol pickup trucks for Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex. The vehicles must be brand new 2024 models, outfitted with police decals, emergency lights, sirens, and a caged back seat for suspect transportation. Each truck requires 4-wheel drive, must support at least 15,000 annual miles without additional fees, and include periodic maintenance such as oil changes and system inspections.
The lease is for an initial one-year term with options to extend annually for up to three years. The vehicles will be used across Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, and the greater Montgomery area to address current vehicle shortages, support growing mission requirements, and enable maintenance on existing fleet vehicles. The contract requires brand new vehicles, standard manufacturer warranties, and full documentation of warranty services and technical support procedures. The government seeks to mitigate operational risks associated with insufficient law enforcement vehicle capacity that currently impacts security for 42,000 personnel and $4.2B in resources.

STATEMENT OF WORK
42 SFS Law Enforcement Vehicle Lease
1.0 PURPOSE. The 42d Security Forces Squadron (42 SFS) has a requirement to lease (2) full-size patrol pickup trucks equipped with lights and sirens. Currently the 42 SFS has 4 operational law enforcement vehicles out of the 10 law enforcement vehicle authorizations.
The minimum number of law enforcement vehicles needed daily is (5) to maintain security for Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex.
