Reverse Osmosis Systems Quarterly and Yearly Services
General Information
1.0 Scope of Work
The Reverse Osmosis (RO) Quarterly and Yearly Maintenance include replacing consumables and evaluating each system to ensure they are performing well and are running properly (operational checks). There are three RO systems, one each in Large Greenhouse #1, Small Greenhouse #2, and the Main Lab. The RO systems in the Large Greenhouse and Small Greenhouse must produce RO-quality water. The RO system in the Main Lab must produce Distilled-quality water.
Maintenance needs outside of the below and associated operation checks are outside of the scope of this contract. Issues shall be identified to the Contracting Officer’s Representative within 2 weekdays of scheduled maintenance activities. The Government reserves the right to execute identified unscheduled maintenance needs in any manner deemed appropriate per government procurement procedures.
2.0 Background
Three custom built RO systems require quarterly and annual servicing. Service location is the USDA Forest Service, Center for Bottomland Hardwoods Research (CBHR), Southern Research Station, 432 Stoneville Road, Stoneville, MS 38776. Service buildings include main lab, large greenhouse, and small greenhouse.

3.0 Technical Requirements / Tasks
Quarterly and/or yearly maintenance on RO Systems shall include the following:
QUARTERLY SERVING OF LARGE GREENHOUSE #1 (February, May, August, November)
Operational check to ensure system is performing well and are running properly; report submission 1- 300C 1.2 cubic feet Portable Exchange Carbon Tank- Quarterly 1- 20 in. 5-micron melt blown filter- Quarterly 8- 40# bags of salt pellets – Quarterly
QUARTERLY SERVING OF SMALL GREENHOUSE #2 (February, May, August, November)
Operational check to ensure system is performing well and are running properly; report submission 1- 300C 1.2 cubic feet Portable Exchange Carbon Tank- Quarterly 1- 20 in. 5-micron melt blown filter- Quarterly 8- 40# bags of salt pellets – Quarterly
ANNUAL SERVICING (February)
MAIN LAB
Operational check to ensure system is performing well and are running properly; report submission 1- 300C Portable Exchange Carbon Tank- Yearly 1- 300MB Portable Exchange Mixed Bed Tank- Yearly 1- 20 in. 5-micron melt blown filter- Yearly 1- 10 in. 5-micron filter (Vent filter) Yearly 1- 10 in. 5-micron pleated filter- Yearly 3- 40# bags of salt pellets – Yearly
LARGE GREENHOUSE #1
1- 10 in. 5-micron pleated filter (Vent filter) Yearly
SMALL GREENHOUSE #2

4.0 Government Furnished
Service location is the USDA Forest Service, Center for Bottomland Hardwoods Research (CBHR), Southern Research Station, 432 Stoneville Road, Stoneville, MS 38776. Service buildings include main lab, large greenhouse, and small greenhouse. Facility access to include access to water/power utilities will be provided.
Facilities are closed on Federal Holidays including:
· New Year’s Day January 1
· Martin Luther King’s Birthday 3rd Monday in January
· Washington’s Birthday 3rd Monday in February
· Memorial Day last Monday in May
· Juneteenth National Independence Day June 19
· Independence Day July 4
· Labor Day 1st Monday in September
· Columbus Day 2nd Monday in October
· Veterans’ Day November 11
· Thanksgiving Day 4th Thursday in November
· Christmas Day December 25
