About this file
This is a Scope of Work (SOW) for the supply and installation of two DHT STV-90030-10D-CU instantaneous vertical steam-to-water heaters with associated factory components and field-supplied materials. The heaters include 10-inch double-wall copper tube bundles, vertical ASME shells with 3-inch domestic water inlet/outlet connections, modulating steam control valves (ST-90025-3 assembly), and condensate drain assemblies (ST-90024-78 JD8). The specification requires the equipment to operate with the Building Management System (BMS), receiving alarm and status signals through Metasys Johnson Control and BACNET-compatible interfaces. Field-supplied components include a 1-inch T&P Relief Valve (Model M15 2031W) rated at 150 psi/210°F with 730,000 BTU/hr capacity, plus all piping, valves, fittings, supports, insulation, electrical wiring, and control wiring.
The installation scope encompasses pre-installation site verification and equipment handling, complete mechanical installation of domestic water piping (cold inlet and hot outlet with isolation valves, strainers, and pressure gauges), steam piping with isolation valves and Y-strainers, and condensate piping with F&T steam traps and check valves. Electrical and controls work includes providing dedicated power to the control panel and hardwiring BMS integration with dry contacts for low-temperature alarm (115°F) and high-temperature alarm (145°F) that activates a local audible alarm. Startup and commissioning tasks require verification of system operation, modulating valve function, leak testing, and comprehensive alarm testing with BMS confirmation. The SOW mandates comprehensive operator training for up to 10 employees covering system overview, normal operation, alarm response, and preventive maintenance, with deliverables including attendance sheets and quick-reference guides. A dedicated Project Manager must be assigned with full responsibility for schedule management, site coordination, documentation, and closeout, supported by a one-year installation warranty covering all labor, workmanship, and installation-related defects.
