About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Automatic Pressure Controllers for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division. The Navy seeks to procure a minimum of one and maximum of fifty Precision Pressure Calibrators through a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The procurement aims to modernize existing calibration equipment, replacing the current King Nutronics 3666-10K3 model with a more compact, efficient system that maintains existing capabilities while reducing transportation, power consumption, and maintenance requirements.

Key requirements include providing operator/service manuals, a one-year manufacturer's warranty, calibration certificates traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), calibration labels, repairable parts lists, software version descriptions, and comprehensive training manuals. The required delivery date is 120 days after contract award, with delivery to the Marine Corps Air Station Calibration Standards Ready Issue Activity in Beaufort, SC. Inspection will be handled by David Swiger, and acceptance by Sunmi Kim at the NSWC Corona Division in Norco, CA.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, Measurement Science and Engineering Department perform Metrology, Test, and Monitoring Systems Assessment supporting the Naval Sea Systems Command Metrology and Calibration Program. Measurement Science and Engineering Department sets the measurement science and calibration standards to support proper weapons operation, interoperability and peak readiness for the fleet.

The existing Automatic Pressure Calibrators across the Navy Calibration Laboratories are in need of modernization. The procurement of the Automatic Pressure Calibrator is critical to address the logistical limitations of our current model, King Nutronics 3666-10K3. New Automatic Pressure Calibrators offer a reduced footprint and enhanced logistical efficiency due to its size and weight reduction. In contrast the existing model is a ruggedized three box portable calibrator. This modernization maintains all existing capabilities of the current model while offering the convenience of in lab use. This transition will enhance operational agility and flexibility, ultimately enabling greater mission success while generating cost savings through reduced transportation, power consumption, and maintenance requirements.

The scope of this effort is to procure via a five (5) year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract a minimum of one (1) and maximum of fifty (50) Precision Pressure Calibrators for the Navy fleet Calibration Laboratories.
