The systems are essential for cleaning critical aircraft wheels and brake components used in landing gear operations.

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supplies, materials, transportation, and hazardous waste disposal services necessary to perform scheduled bi-annual (twice yearly) maintenance visits and unscheduled preventative maintenance upon request. Service requirements include complete removal and replacement of approximately 318 gallons of fresh solvent, interior tank cleaning and debris removal, mechanical inspection of vee wheels, conduits, and cables, pneumatic system servicing including air filter drainage and lubricator maintenance, electrical system inspection of fuses and bulbs, and proper characterization, labeling, transportation, and disposal of all hazardous waste in compliance with EPA, RCRA, and OSHA standards. Replacement parts during inspections are pre-authorized up to $500.00 for parts and labor combined; costs exceeding this threshold require written approval from the government Point of Contact. The contractor must coordinate service scheduling with at least 14 business days advance notice, maintain contractor personnel in identifiable company clothing, ensure equipment is returned to fully operational condition, provide Safety Data Sheets upon request, submit detailed After Service Reports documenting all work performed and deficiencies found, and provide hazardous waste manifests as proof of proper disposal. The PWS references the ACT Super 4X System Operation Manual and applicable state, local, and base environmental and safety regulations as guidance standards.
