About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) outlines a rail alignment survey for a 10-ton crane (Crane 720101) located in Building 7201 at the Bangor Trident Refit Facility, Naval Submarine Base in Silverdale, Washington. The primary objective is to conduct a comprehensive survey of the crane's runway rails to verify compliance with Crane Manufacturers' Association of America (CMAA) No. 70 standards, focusing on rail span, straightness, elevation, and rail-to-rail elevation. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, and documentation, including a CAD drawing of survey results and a Fall Protection and Prevention Plan.
The contract is a non-personal services agreement with a performance period of ten weeks, tentatively beginning around August 1st, 2025. The contractor must provide 30 days' notice before starting work and submit various deliverables, including a brief description of survey equipment, methodology, and aerial work platforms. The survey must be conducted with minimal disruption to the facility, with work performed between 0630 and 1500 hours, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The crane is currently rated at 10 tons and is scheduled to be replaced with a 15-ton capacity crane, making the alignment survey crucial for ensuring operational safety and compliance.
