About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for DQ1 2017-1332, a Colorado state contract opportunity for cabinets and countertops, including installation and delivery for the Brush Lab. The project requires metal casework, biosafety cabinets with base stands, and C-leg bench frame assemblies with specific finish specifications. Metal casework components must be phosphate-coated with baked, chemical-resistant powder-coat finishes in designated colors: light neutral for Contour metal casework and C-leg bench frames, and Glacier white for biosafety cabinets and base stands. The project includes table tops of black phenolic material at one inch thick and counter tops composed of one inch thick black thermoset resins with cellulose fibers. Counter tops are specified at 24 inches wide, and fixed casework shelves are 60 inches long. Hardware requirements include five knuckle stainless steel concealed hinges and stainless steel handle pulls for all doors and drawers. The original requested installation date of June 15, 2017 was extended to June 30, 2017 to accommodate supplier availability.

The Q&A document clarifies material specifications and design requirements to ensure bidder compliance and project feasibility. Specific finishes and materials were confirmed as non-negotiable, with rapid ship color selections explicitly rejected in favor of standard specified colors. The extended delivery date to June 30, 2017 reflects a realistic timeline adjustment addressing supplier constraints, indicating the procurement allows flexibility on critical delivery milestones while maintaining strict material and hardware specifications.
