About this file

This document is a Notice of Intended Decision to Enter into a Single Source Contract (PUR 7778) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The notice indicates that FDOT intends to enter into a single source contract with Coastal Construction Products, LLC for the procurement of silicone sealants used in the maintenance of bridges. The sealants are necessary for daily maintenance activities to repair bridge roadways and areas around bridges. FDOT has determined that Coastal Construction Products is the sole authorized provider for the specific DOWSIL silicone pavement sealants and SSI XJS Joint System required for these maintenance activities in the state of Florida.

The intended contract value is $330,000. FDOT has justified the single source acquisition based on the unique and necessary nature of the DOWSIL and SSI sealant products, as well as the significant investment FDOT has made in equipment to apply these specific sealants. The notice provides details on the contact person, commodity code, and justification for the single source determination.
