About this file

This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for Traffic Signal Modification and Repair Services for District 7. The ITB solicits bids from qualified vendors to establish a two-year contract to provide these services within FDOT District 7, which encompasses Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties. The required services include re-spanning of existing span wire assemblies, modification of signal head assemblies, and miscellaneous work on traffic signals and related equipment. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for July 2, 2024, and bids are due by July 9, 2024. The FDOT intends to award the contract to the responsive and responsible bidder that submits the lowest bid.

The ITB provides details on the scope of services, staffing requirements, warranty provisions, and compensation methodology. Pricing is requested in the form of unit rates for various services. Vendors must be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketplace system and authorized to conduct business in the state. A 10% MBE utilization goal is established, and preference will be given to Veteran Business Enterprises and drug-free workplaces if bids are equal. Funding for the contract is subject to annual appropriations, and the contract includes provisions for liquidated damages.
