About this file

This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for St. Augustine Maintenance Employment Services. The ITB seeks qualified bidders to provide maintenance employment services, including the supervision of inmate labor, for the FDOT in St. Johns County. The contract is for a one-year term, with the potential for renewal. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m. local time on January 8, 2024, and will be opened publicly at 2:30 p.m. the same day.

The Addendum provides answers to questions received from potential bidders regarding the scope of work, pay classifications, vendor requirements, and other contract details. Key points include that the maintenance technicians will be the vendor's employees, and the vendor will be responsible for all associated costs. The contract has an anticipated annual value of up to $200,000. This is a new contract, and there are no incumbent vendors. There are no set-asides, subcontracting requirements, or local preferences for this procurement.
