About this file

This Description of Service (DOS) details the relocation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for Building 859, Fire Station at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan. The 18-month contract requires the contractor to relocate FF&E from the Fire Station administrative area to temporary facilities, storage, and the apparatus bay due to foundation settlement that has damaged floors, walls, doors, and sewers. The contractor must provide all necessary personnel, equipment, and supervision to inventory, protect, move, and reinstall items, ensuring they are returned to their original locations after building repairs.

Key performance requirements include: working between 0700-1700 hours Monday through Friday, providing on-site quality control, protecting all items from damage, maintaining detailed inventories with pre- and post-move damage inspections, and coordinating closely with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The contractor must provide storage units, personal protective equipment, and their own portable facilities. The project involves carefully moving items labeled "A" to temporary administrative facilities, items labeled "B" to temporary on-site storage, and items labeled "C" to apparatus bays, with meticulous tracking to ensure proper reassembly and placement upon project completion.
