About this file

This document contains an amendment and questions and answers regarding solicitation number DOIRFBO210004 from the Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation for AVC UTILITY LOCATING services. The amendment provides additional details to bidders on the scope of work, clarifying that the corridor boundaries for proposed pipeline alignments are defined in the kmz file from Amendment 1. Questions and answers address the availability of existing utility records for reference, and confirm that detailed survey files of the pipeline alignments will not be provided prior to subsurface utility engineering activities, as the solicitation requires identification of all utilities within the defined corridor.

AMENDMENT 3 – Q & A FROM AMENDMENT 2

DOIRFBO210004

Q & A

Q: Does the BOR have any QL D records of existing utilities in the area of the proposed pipeline alignments? If so can those be made available?

A: Due to posting limitations I am unable to post the actual AutoCAD file. Please email Wendy New at wnew@usbr.gov for that specific file. Be advised this is for reference/information only, BOR does not guarantee the accuracy/completeness.

Q: Our concern with the AutoCAD DWG is that the solicitation states in several places that the contract corridor width is defined in those drawings. Without some definition of the corridor width it is difficult to estimate costs.

A: Refer to the kmz file from Amendment 1 for the corridor boundaries.

Q: I am unable to decern if the pipeline alignments will be staked in the field or if the pipeline alignment survey files will be available prior to any SUE activities. Can you please clarify?

A: That information shouldn’t be necessary – we provided a corridor within which we want all utility data.
