This is a quick guide intended to help vendors complete registration requirements before doing business with NAVSUP FLC Bahrain. It also provides additional information on how to search for current business opportunities available.
A. IDENTIFY YOUR PRODUCT OR SERVICE
a. Product and Service Code (PSC)
It is essential to know the Product and Service Codes for your products, services or industry in which your company normally does business.
The PSC Manual provides codes to describe products and services purchased by the Federal Government. Many government product/service listings and future procurements are identified according to the PSC.
The PSC Manual is located at: https://www.acquisition.gov/psc-manual
b. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS)
It is equally important that you know the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for your products or services. NAICS is the standard used by the Federal Government to classify businesses for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the United States' business economy. Similar to the PSC, many government product/service listings and future procurements are identified according to the NAICS.
NAICS Codes are located at: https://www.census.gov/eos/www/naics/
