About this file

This is Addendum 2 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Health, Division of Administration, Bureau of Procurement and Contract Administration for landscaping services in Hillsborough County. The addendum modifies the Scope of Work and provides responses to vendor questions submitted during the bidding process. Key modifications clarify that sidewalks, gutters, roadways, and surfaces surrounding facilities shall be maintained on an as-needed basis for all locations except Sulphur Springs, which requires maintenance at every visit. The solicitation is for continuous landscaping services rather than a one-time engagement, with services including leaf removal, mulch installation twice annually, easement maintenance, parking lot management, and retention area upkeep across multiple properties. The contract involves multiple sites throughout Hillsborough County, including locations in Ruskin.

The current contractor, L & A ProLAwn Services LLC, performs services under the existing contract valued at $57,600 annually, broken down by individual location. The new solicitation does not establish a specific budget or estimated annual value. A Dental Auxiliary Certificate (DAC) license is not mandatory for this solicitation. Prospective bidders must maintain General Liability Coverage with limits of $200,000 per person's claim and $300,000 per occurrence for claims after October 1, 2011, and Auto insurance as specified in the ITB requirements. The addendum clarifies that properties currently in unsatisfactory condition may be included in initial cleanup before standard maintenance begins, and bidders are responsible for servicing all easements and retention areas designated in the Scope of Work. Prospective vendors may request public records through established procedures outlined in Section 3.4 of the original solicitation.
