About this file

This document is Addendum #3 to the Invitation to Bid (ITB) DOH23-006 issued by the Florida Department of Health (DOH) for the Capital Circle Office Complex Relocation Project. The purpose of this ITB is for DOH to obtain competitive prices for office relocation services to move items from approximately 300 offices in the Department's Capital Circle Office Center (CCOC) in Tallahassee, Florida. The addendum provides responses to questions received from prospective vendors, including details on the number of moving boxes, responsibility for computer equipment, timeline flexibility, background check and drug testing requirements, and the availability of additional site visits. The contract term is not explicitly stated, but the project timeline is provided in the Scope of Work.

The ITB does not include details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, or other financial information. It focuses on the logistics and operational requirements for the office relocation services.

# Question Answer

What is the official, final number of moving boxes requested by DOH for the ITB?

The final number of moving boxes is unknown at this time. See Section 6.1.1.6.1.1, Attachment A, Scope of Work and Exhibit 1, Proposed Relocation Plan, which includes initial estimates of items being relocated.

Will the chosen vendor be responsible for moving computer towers and monitors?

Yes. See Sections 6.1.1.4.3 and 6.1.1.6.1.2 of Attachment A, Scope of Work, of the ITB.

Will the department find it acceptable if the chosen vendor is able to complete some stages in a shorter time frame than noted in the tentative relocation schedule?

Yes. A stage may be completed in a shorter time frame, but the next stage cannot begin early unless approved by the Department in writing prior to the Contractor implementing the requested changes. See Section 6.1.1.4.4, Attachment A, Scope of Work.

Will the department require new background checks be completed on all employees who will be performing moving services? If the employees in questions have been BG checked within the last 5 years will that be acceptable?

No, new background checks are not required. Yes, a Level 2 background screening must not be older than 5 years. See Attachment H, Background and Drug Screening Attestation.

Will the department require specific drug testing for the selected vendor to complete with employees that will be performing moving services?

Yes. See Section 4.11 Terms and Conditions, included in the ITB.

What is the official, final number of moving boxes requested by DOH for the ITB?

See the answer to question #1.

I would like to bid but I need to know if moving the freight for the Department of Health would be a year long job or just for a few days?

See Section 2.3, Term, of the ITB and Section 2, Attachment A, Scope of Work.

Our team experienced an unforeseen issue with our estimator and his ability to make it to the site visit. We are reaching out to submit a request for permission to send a representative to perform the site visit and bid on DOH23- 006 on Monday as to be on track by the current bid deadline.

We would like to send a replacement to perform the estimate on Monday and proceed if possible.

The mandatory site visit was held at the time and location indicated in Section 2.4, Timeline, of the ITB. There will be no other site visits at this time.

I wanted to reach out to please ask if there was still an opportunity to do a site visit. Our estimator did have a personal issue and was not able to physically make it this morning?

See the answer to question #8.

Ms. Voncelia I was enquiring for more details about this bid opportunity I received in my email, this would be my first time trying out for a bid contract, I read brief details of what you guys are looking for and I do have the trucks and man power available but I am not sure of what is the next step I should take to win the contract, I would love if could assist me on this opportunity for my first try.

Respondents are encouraged to read the ITB in its entirety to ensure understanding of all requirements and instructions for submittal.
