About this file

This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Health (Department) for Janitorial Supply Management Services. The purpose of this ITB is for the Department to obtain competitive prices for the provision of janitorial management services, including supplying, distributing, and replacing clean mops, rags, and floor mats used by contracted janitorial staff at specified Department locations within Miami-Dade County. The ITB timeline has been updated, with the new bid due date of January 31, 2023, and the anticipated posting of intent to award on February 7, 2023. The Department has provided responses to questions received from prospective vendors regarding the required products and service frequency.

The Department's previous annual spend for these services was $34,136.00 from 2021. The Department currently does not have a contract for these services, and there is no incumbent provider. Bidders must submit a price for all items outlined in Attachment B, Price Page, to be considered for an award. The ITB does not mention any set-asides or funding requirements and sources.

Do you have any specs or model numbers for the items listed below specifically the 22” and 24” microfiber mops and mats, any information would be appreciated?

See the Department’s requirements as outlined in Attachment G of the ITB.

Would the vendor have to pick up the used items or are they responsible for just delivery can we send our bids in electronic or do we mail the In?

Yes, see Section 5.1, Service Tasks, of Attachment A and Section 3.2, Instructions for Submittal, of the ITB.

3 My question will all items be a monthly services or will this be a case buy per month?

See Attachment A, Scope of Work, and Attachment H, Janitorial Supply Form, of the ITB regarding frequency.

We would be interested in knowing more in detail what your requirements are, in order to offer you the best price for your requirements.

Bidders are encouraged to read the ITB document in its entirety for an understanding of all requirements outlined.

5 I received an email with an invitation to bid. This is my first time, so I am wondering how do I put in for a bid?

The non-slip floor mats are not jet black but more of a charcoal color based on its fibers, would this be acceptable?
