About this file

The given document is an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Corrections (DOC) to establish one or more contracts for Laundry Services. The DOC seeks to provide laundry services for its facilities across Virginia, including Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women, Lunenburg Correctional Center, Nottoway Correctional Center, State Farm Correctional Center, Virginia Correctional Center for Women, and Sussex II State Prison. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to provide laundry services, including pick-up and delivery of items such as sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels, and inmate uniforms. The contract period will be for one (1) year from the date of award and may be renewable in accordance with the IFB. Sealed bids are due by June 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

The pricing shall be provided on a per pound basis for standard laundry, with additional pricing for other items. The Commonwealth has a statewide goal that 42% of purchases be made from small businesses certified by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (DSBSD), including women-owned, minority-owned, and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. Bidders must register in eVA, Virginia's electronic procurement system, and pricing includes applicable eVA vendor transaction fees. The DOC reserves the right to award to multiple bidders, and there are no listed incumbent vendors or current contractors. The budget range for this procurement is not specified.
