Solicitation Package Recipients:
Transmitted herewith, please find Addendum #1 for the above referenced project’s plans (see Attachment 1 – PLANS ~1):
Sheet C-01 – Revise as follows:
| Revise General Note #3 Order of Operations to read: | ||
| 3. | “Order of Operations – Vault toilet sites at campgrounds shall be prioritized for completion unless other sites are requested by IDNR at the preconstruction meeting. Concurrent work at multiple sites will be permitted, provided the Contractor can demonstrate the ability to maintain safe, clean, and contained conditions at each location throughout the project. Excavations for new vaults may not be initiated more than five calendar days before vault delivery and placement. The IDNR Site Superintendent has full authority to temporarily restrict or suspend Contractor operations at any locations where unacceptable hazards or disturbances to the Park or Public are being created.” |
| Add the following to the General Notes: | ||
| 11. | “Temporary Portable Toilets – Primary Park usage season begins the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and extends through Columbus Day. During this period, unless the existing vault toilets at that location are still in service and available to the Public, the Contractor shall provide, maintain, and service weekly one (1) standard size portable toilet for use by the Public at each location under construction until the new vault toilet has been substantially completed and partially accepted for beneficial occupancy by IDNR.” | |
| 12. | “Contractor Staging Area – The Contractor will be allowed to utilize a designated space within the Park for staging and storage of materials and equipment, location to be determined at the preconstruction meeting. No dumpsters, stockpiles, demolished materials, etc. will be permitted to remain at any individual sites.” | |
| 13. | “Coordination Between Projects – Construction for this project may coincide with two other capital improvement projects at Shabbona Lake State Park, one being construction of a new site maintenance building near the administrative office, and the other improvements to the boat access areas at the lake. Projects are not anticipated to conflict with each other, however coordination with site staff and other contractors will be required.” |
Sheet C-05 – Add the following to the scope of work for this site:
Remove and replace existing 12” corrugated metal pipe beneath sidewalk next to road with 10 L.F. of new 12” HDPE Pipe.
Sheet C-06 – Add the following to the scope of work for this site:
Full removal and stump grinding of ~24” dia. pine tree located between the dumpster pad and existing asphalt trail.
Sheet C-11 – Add the following to the scope of work for this site:
Full removal and stump grinding of ~22” dia. pine tree located on north side of sidewalk, between the dumpster pad and other large pine tree already called for removal.
Sheet C-14 – Add the following to Sitework Note #4 Erosion Control:
“Prior to any winter shutdown, periods of inactivity, or delays of final seeding, all disturbed sites shall be at a minimum rough graded to drain, stabilized, and temporary seeded to the satisfaction of IDNR. Use of erosion control blankets containing plastic netting will not be permitted due to it posing a hazard to small wildlife.”
Clarification regarding construction bonding requirements – Contractor shall provide performance and payment bonds for the full contract amount within 10 days of contract execution.
