About this file
This Request for Quotation (RFQ #LAD24-2281) is issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for the rental of postage systems. The solicitation seeks a three-year contract for postage meter mailing equipment to be deployed across multiple DMV Driver Safety Office locations, including Covina, Salida, Santa Rosa, Redding, Bakersfield, Commerce, El Segundo, Fresno, Oakland, Orange, Oxnard, Sacramento, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, and Van Nuys. The total estimated number of postage systems is 17, comprising 4 semi-automatic and 13 automatic postage meter mailing units. The quote is due on April 04, 2025, by 10:00 AM PST, with an anticipated contract award on April 15, 2025, and the contractor expected to be ready to begin work within 10 business days of the award.
The RFQ includes provisions for small business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) preferences, with a potential 5% preference for qualifying businesses. Pricing will be determined on a quarterly basis, with payments subject to pro-rata reduction for days when services are not rendered as required. The cost proposal is to be submitted in a sealed envelope, with the total cost broken down by location and type of postage system. The DMV reserves the right to award the contract based on the lowest cost proposal that meets all requirements, with additional considerations for small business participation and compliance with various state and federal non-discrimination statutes.
