From the SOO, it appears that this has previously been performed by local vendors in the various locations. Is that correct?

You are correct that the maintenance has been performed by local vendors. The USMS districts use their fleet card by going to a local shop and getting the work done. There is no connection between what the local vendors are doing and to the USMS Fleet Program.

Or, is there an overall NVM contract in place?

This is a new requirement as there is no incumbent and nothing in place.

If not, will the requirement possibly result in an IDIQ contract or BPA to consolidate these services under one contract?

The USMS is going to award either a BPA (if the market research indicates that there are vendors on a GSA schedule) or an IDIQ contract (if the market research indicates that no one on the GSA Schedule can fulfill this requirement).

Also, is there a value range associated with this effort?

The USMS asked that question from industry in the RFI link for price. And the USMS asked for a CLIN structure, as industry is the most advanced.

Is there a targeted time for a possible decision about an RFP?

The RFP will be issued approximately May 2018.

What does Cage Code mean?

Here is the information on how to apply for a CAGE code:

Should we win the RFP bid, will the contract be entering into an agreement with GSA or USMS?

This posting is only a Request for Information(RFI). No award will be made from the RFI. When the solicitation is posted, and the company wins, the contract award will be made directly to the winning company directly from the USMS.

The RFI mention that should we not have a GSA Schedule, we should enter N/A. Does this mean we are excluded from bidding for the business?

This posting is only a Request for Information (RFI). In order to ensure that the USMS has the right marketplace, any potential vendors answering the RFI needs to identify if they are on the GSA schedule or not on the GSA schedule. The USMS will utilize this market research to identify if the award will be made off the GSA schedule or open market.
