At a minimum the upgrades to our existing system should include the following considerations:
1. The functionality of the AV system is established and is currently operating on end-of-life cycle equipment. The purpose of the site visit is to gather recommendations on refreshing equipment to support the same AV functionality currently available in the facility. Additionally, to take advantage of equipment advances of transmitting and switching of the signals with current market products.
2. The USMS is requesting written recommendations regarding technical and infrastructure updates that would support the market research leading to the composition of a Statement of Work for a future Request for Proposal.
3. Recommendations will be considered and evaluated for compliance with USMS and DOJ guidelines related to AV systems and procurement regulations.
4. The classroom should be able to support AV display from a podium computer, laptop connection, blue-ray, document camera, and other external devices. The classroom should also host a microphone system capable of amplifying presenter and class discussion, and supporting audio feed to the business center, conference room and supervisors office. The AV outputs will go to 1 existing confidence monitor at the back of the room and 2 existing projectors at the front of the room.
5. The business center should be able to support AV display from a laptop connection and a live AV feed from the classroom.
6. The conference room should be able to support AV display from a laptop connection, blue-ray and a live AV feed from the classroom.
7. The supervisors office should be able to support a live AV display from the classroom and a reverse audio feed to the classroom.
8. Control panels for each room should be able to support toggling for AV options and settings for lights and window shades.
9. Classroom and conference room should also incorporate integrated web-cam video support and audio capability for web-calling via connection to government computer/laptop.
