FYI: Requests received after the deadline for the site visit will not processed. Thank you for your interest.

Question 1: Is the AV Systems infrastructure CISCO, Polycom, or other?

The current AV system involves a variety of components that are currently integrated via a Crestron control system.

Question 2: Is there an O&M (Day-to-Day) component in place overseeing the serviceability of the existing system?

No. System users are primarily responsible for day-to-day use and basic troubleshooting.

Question 3: Is there an active maintenance contract in place?

The system has been maintained under a preventative maintenance (PM) contract that included regular PMs and technical assistance/repair as needed. The contract is not currently active pending further definition of the timeline for the AV System refresh.

Question 4: Schedule: Is it the intent of the Marshal Service to support the refresh in Tandem or Parallel?

To the fullest extent possible, the USMS prefers to have the refresh done as a single, holistic system update to minimize the facility downtime required to complete the project.

Question 5: Does the Marshal Office have license agreements or partnerships in place with AV manufacturers that the contractor would be obligated to procure equipment from, and if so, then who?

Not at this time.

Question 6: Will the team have full access to conduct refresh activities during core business hours?

Due to security and staffing considerations on the site, the refresh project will be completed during core business hours.

Question 7: If your answer requires an alternate technical resource for the site visit is there a means to submit alternate/additional attendees?

Alternate/additional attendees may be scheduled as needed within the week of July 31, 2017.

Question 8: Is the AV equipment connected to a restricted network?

No. The current AV system is a stand-alone infrastructure that is not connected to any network.

Question 9: Is security clearance required to support after fielding?

No.

Question 10: Do you have the latest Crestron programming code?

The latest code may be obtained from the vendor responsible for preventative maintenance.

Question 11: What format are you using for the “web-calling”?

Web-calling is currently done via Microsoft Lync or Skype for Business in connection with USMS-networked computers.

Question 12: What, if any, is the current VTC system?

The current VTC system is a Tandberg interface.

Question 13: What is the distance for all of these rooms? Are they on the same floor?

All rooms are on the same floor of the building, and within the same suite of offices. The training room, business center, conference room, and kitchen, and “Room 3007” are all adjoining; the supervisor’s office is on the opposite side of the suite.

Question 14: When will you schedule the walk-through?

Walk-throughs will be scheduled for the week of July 31, 2017.
