Questions and Answers

Q: In the pricing document, CLINs 2024 and 2025 are inoperable and do not allow a figure to be entered. They are noted as “read only.” Can you make the correction?

A: This has been corrected. See revised pricing schedule.

Q: In the pricing document, in the majority of the option periods and in most of the CLINs (not all), it appears that an automatic 3% inflation factor has been added. Was that intentional for this contract?

A: The formula has been removed. See revised pricing schedule.

Q: In the base year of the pricing document, CLINs 0006 & 0009 are for the transport of inventory from the current location to a new location. Since the storage location must be within 60 miles of the USMS District Office in Boston, MA, vehicles that are in the current Vermont storage site are approximately 250 miles away from any location that meets the distance requirement from the Boston Office. As a contractor, one has to cover itself for transporting an unknown quantity of vehicles 250+ miles. With only one each CLIN provided for moving current inventory, the resultant rate must be abnormally high to cover the Vermont transport. Would you consider a CLIN 0006a and 0009a to allow for a more accurate rate for the Vermont vehicles that will not adversely affect the remaining much closer vehicles?

A: Please see the attached revised 1449 Continuation that lists the number of vehicles to be relocated from each location. In addition, the physical address of the current location for Flynn Jensen has been updated and the address for the vehicles in the District of Connecticut has been updated. The estimated quantities for the initial relocation CLINs 0006 and 0009 have been updated to match the numbers provided on the 1449 Continuation.

Q: It appears you are requiring that ALL vehicles be towed to a location within 60 road miles of the USMS in Boston MA, please confirm.

A: The physical address of the storage facility must be within 60 miles of Boston, MA [See Statement of Work 3) a)]. However, there are times that a vehicle will be towed to a location other than the contractor’s storage facility [ See Statement of Work 5) e)].
