The scope of work includes comprehensive mechanical services for fire curtain systems, involving removal and replacement of rusted components, installation of stainless steel hardware, replacement of lift lines, resetting limit switches, and installing custom safety signage. The contract is a firm fixed-price procurement with a six-month period of performance, expected to begin on 2025-08-28, with a total turnkey installation requirement.

Key technical specifications include replacing eyebolts, wire rope guidelines, lift lines across three systems, counterweight securing plates, and split ring shaft collars. The contractor must provide all equipment, materials, and labor, with responsibilities encompassing transportation, site protection, weekly reporting, and submittal of a comprehensive safety plan. The project will be executed at 6000 Ammendale Rd, Beltsville, MD, with a post-award kickoff meeting scheduled within 7 business days of contract award. The solicitation (15A00025PAQA00233) appears to be a limited/sole source justification, likely maintaining continuity with an incumbent vendor for critical safety infrastructure maintenance.
